Sorry guys about the break between postings...my computer's been broken! the dvd drive stopped accepting dvds, so it's been in the shop.
I hope you guys had fun at Laserquest - I've heard conflicting views about who won, but most seem to be saying it was Chris - well done, sir!
Here's the plan for December: Christmas Party, not much else! I'm thinking something like the 17th of December, if anyone has any objections, let them be heard. I'll keep you posted about how things progess...
Next Sunday...LaserQuest! We'll dim the lights, turn up the music, and let the lasers fly. I think we'll go to the one at Cergy - everyone seems split as to which is better. If someone prefers another place let me know. Cost: about 20€. We'll go and eat lunch after church, and then play a 20min. round (or two - but I warn you, it's tiring.) Depending on how many people come, we'll need a few drivers, so warn your parents ahead of time that we might need them, if they're available. The place opens at 13h, so we'll probably return to church by 14h30.
Yes, that's a ferret with bunny ears. Anyway, the retreat is coming up sooner than we think...December 3-5 is the Youth Group overnight where all the youth groups from around Paris will be descending on St. Prix, where you'll find a "Centre de formations et de rencontres internationales" - check it out at http://www.cpcvidf.asso.fr ... It should be a blast, and I hope quite a few of you can come. There'll be good food, new people to meet, sport, games, and discussions and talks about all things God. We'll leave Friday night and return Sunday afternoon...Does anyone have questions? Comments? Anyone planning on coming?
On Sunday we talked about the dark side of kids...stealing, lying, cheating - Here, again, are the results of a national survey I found on the internet:
74% of all kids interviewed said they've cheated at school. 38% say they've stolen something from a store. 93% have lied to their parents (and the other 7% are lying to the survey).
We had a range of responses to the survey, ranging from the girl's table claiming angel status, and some at my table saying 'it's not a big deal'. Some lie to protect their parents, some feel their parents lie to them. Can you lie if you're trying to keep your parents from worrying too much? Can they lie to keep difficult situations from you?
Concerning stealing...is downloading music from the internet stealing? Or, as someone called it, is it 'sharing' between you and your best friend Kazaa? Can you 'try the song out' and then buy it later? Even these pictures on the site, I got from google image search...am I stealing?
Well, one broken glass and one angry lady later, we've completed our first Café Cozy excursion. They might lock the doors next time they see the 15 of us coming! I think some people had too many Maxi Café Cozy. Oh, and John, have you seen my coat? And my wallet?

Ok. Thanks to everyone who's visited the site. I appreciate all the compliments you sent me, but next time post them on the website instead of sending them by email! Don't be shy. Perhaps you need incentive. Well, write in to tell me which movies you want to watch on Friday...We'll watch the film with the most votes...AND just to make sure you write in, I'll start by nominating Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs...in Polish: "Krolewna Sniezka i Siedniu Krasnoludkow".
And finally...the Youth and Lycée Groups now have their very own website! I'm going to try my hardest to post photos from the various events, and dates and information for everything we'll be doing in the future. Beyond such practicalities, I'll probably end up posting anything that seems vaguely interesting, and you can, of course, comment on it! Be sure to check out the ROPES course photos on the left...

Hopefully we'll be having some other lycee groups join us at a cafe and bonfire evening on the 6th of november. I'm open for any other events...ROPES Course, etc. You're also welcome to join Youth Group for Laserquest on the 28th.
